Europe-wide consortium established to strengthen peace education

Everyone can do their own part for peace by learning to resolve conflictsin their own sphere of life. This, however, requires knowledge and skills: listening, mindful communication, confronting one’s own feelings and assumptions, and the ability to detect social structures and operation models that cause or maintain conflicts. Fortunately, these are all skills that can be practiced and maintained at all age levels.

In Strengthening Peace Education for Preventing Conflicts -project, we called professionals a cross of Europe to develop a new, EU-wide training programme in peacebuilding. Our aim was define special peace training which defines core skills of maintaining and building a peace. The need for more efficient special peace training was essential as several countries answered to our effort.
